Social Media Erupts As DJ Chicken Is Reportedly Arrested Over Seyi Tinubu Remarks

The claim was made by the entertainer’s lawyer in a video shared online, where he appealed to the authorities to show leniency and release his client.

According to the lawyer, DJ Chicken was arrested at the Ikeja Police Headquarters in Lagos State and is currently being held by security authorities.

He alleged that the arrest was linked to statements the entertainer reportedly made about Seyi Tinubu a few days earlier.

“Chicken is now with the authorities. He was arrested at the Ikeja Police Headquarters, although I believe he is currently with the DSS. He was arrested over the statement he made some days ago about the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer appealed to the entertainer’s supporters, associates of Seyi Tinubu and other influential Nigerians to intervene and help secure his release.

He said, “To everyone who supports Chicken, those close to the President and those who can help, we are pleading for forgiveness. I don’t know what else to do at this point. We are simply asking that he be forgiven.”

Describing DJ Chicken as a personal rehabilitation project, the lawyer said he had taken a special interest in helping the controversial entertainer despite his past run-ins with the law.

According to him, he had been working to guide and support DJ Chicken because he believed the entertainer deserved an opportunity to reform and remain a productive member of society.

The lawyer further urged anyone with access to Seyi Tinubu or senior government officials to intervene, expressing hope that the matter could be resolved through forgiveness rather than prolonged detention.
