Soldier Left Shocked After Ordering Power Bank Online, Receives Empty Casing Instead

A Nigerian soldier has sparked reactions online after ordering what he believed to be a power bank from an online store, only to receive an item that appeared to be an empty casing.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the soldier was seen in a video circulating on social media unboxing the package alongside some of his colleagues.

After opening the parcel, the soldier reportedly noticed that the item was unusually light. He and his colleagues subsequently examined it and discovered that the casing contained no battery or other internal components required for it to function as a conventional power bank.

The discovery reportedly left the soldier and those around him surprised as they tried to determine what had been delivered.

The identity of the online store involved and the exact details of the order were not immediately clear from the video.

However, reactions to the incident suggested that the item may have been a power bank casing rather than a complete power bank. Some social media users argued that such casings are sold separately and require buyers to install compatible lithium batteries before they can function as power banks.

Others, however, suggested that the soldier may have misunderstood the product description and called for him to check the original order details before concluding that he had been deceived.

The incident has since generated discussion online about the importance of carefully checking product descriptions and specifications when shopping on e-commerce platforms.
