Soludo Extends Lead: ADC And LP Candidates Fail To Secure LGA As Results Emerge
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has secured a decisive victory in Nnewi North Local Government Area, defeating hometown contenders George Moghalu of the Labour Party (LP) and John Chuma-Nwosu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
While both Moghalu and Chuma-Nwosu are natives of Nnewi North, Soludo hails from Isuofia in Aguata LGA.
The Collation Officer for Nnewi North LGA announced the results early Sunday at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) State Collation Centre. The official tally showed:

APGA (Soludo) – 20,320 votes

APC (Nicholas Ukachukwu) – 5,441 votes

LP (George Moghalu) – 1,140 votes
-
YPP (Paul Chukwuma) – 1,100 votes

ADC (John Chuma-Nwosu) – 553 votes
Despite a high number of registered voters, turnout in Nnewi North was relatively low. Of the 166,291 registered voters, only 29,323 were accredited, with 28,715 valid votes and 569 rejected.
