Soludo Is Misunderstood!.– First Lady Sets The Record Straight On Governor’s Personality

Reports indicate that opposition parties have been spreading narratives that Soludo believes he knows everything, urging Anambra residents not to support him. However, speaking to journalists at the Anambra Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Nonye Soludo refuted these allegations, explaining that her husband’s perceived seriousness is simply his dedication to duty, which is evident in his governance approach.

Recalling their time together at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, the First Lady described her husband as both jovial and hardworking, noting that his strong work ethic often leads to misconceptions about his personality.

She said: “From his days as a lecturer at UNN, my husband has always been a serious-minded person. Yes, he is jovial, but when he commits to something, he gives it his all, and that’s why people misinterpret his seriousness as arrogance.

“As a student at UNN, I witnessed this firsthand. Many students feared him because of his strict demeanor and intense focus on work. My friends often wondered how I coped with him, thinking he was always stern. But in reality, he is fun-loving and full of humor—people just don’t get to see that side of him often.”

Reflecting on his tenure as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nonye Soludo revealed that their family endured numerous threats due to his policies. She recalled withdrawing their children from school multiple times for safety reasons, but Soludo remained undeterred, insisting that his actions were in the country’s best interest.

“My husband is deeply committed to his work. Once he sets his mind on a goal, he becomes completely focused. Unfortunately, this dedication sometimes makes people overlook his jovial nature and open-mindedness. Contrary to what some believe, he values other people’s opinions and encourages open discussions,” she added.
