Adegboruwa, a lawyer for the Take It Back Movement—a group involved in the protests—expressed regret over the casualties and losses during the demonstrations, stating that such outcomes were not the intended purpose of the protests. He called for protesters to retreat from their protest sites to allow for meaningful dialogue with the government.
In response, Sowore took to his X page (formerly Twitter), urging citizens to intensify their protests. He stated, “Good day fellow conscious citizens. Thank you all for staying the course since the beginning of the #endbadgovernanceinnigeria REVOLT. Please, continue with daily barricades, marches, rallies, and people’s congresses. Additionally, those at home should engage in pot-and-pan protests to highlight hunger, poverty, and starvation. Grab your pots and pans and start making noise on the streets. Bang, bang, bang! #Revolutions are ‘the festivals of the oppressed and the exploited!
