On Wednesday, Sowore, utilizing his official X platform (previously Twitter), issued a plea directed at Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former Emir of Kano State, and Northern lawmakers. He urged them to channel their salaries towards aiding the victims in Plateau, drawing a parallel to their previous contributions in assisting victims of the Nigerian Air Force bombing in Kaduna.
Sowore underscored the need for El-Rufai, Sanusi, and other Northern lawmakers to extend the same generous gesture they displayed during the Kaduna incident to the distressed communities in Plateau. Additionally, he called upon individuals who demonstrated solidarity during the Kaduna bombing to replicate their support for the affected communities in Plateau. This appeal seeks to unite efforts and resources in providing crucial assistance to those impacted by the recent spate of violence in the region.
