The case at the tribunal, presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani, involves Peter Obi’s allegations regarding the 2023 presidential election held in February.

These developments come after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Yakubu Mahmood, declared Bola Tinubu as the president-elect on March 1st, with 8,794,726 votes.

Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the PDP and Labour Party were reported to have garnered 6,984,520 votes and 6,101,533 votes, respectively.

Following the final written address adoption on August 1st by the legal representatives of INEC, Obi, President Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and the All Progressives Congress, the case has been adjourned for judgment by Justice Haruna Tsammani.

While awaiting the judgment, a strong supporter of the Labour Party and Peter Obi, known as Harry of Milan on Twitter, issued a stern warning to the judges against succumbing to any form of compromise.

Alongside an image of the judge’s family, Chidi conveyed through a tweet: “Hello Justice Tsammani! I understand that people might label this as blackmail or other forms of influence, but I am not concerned about such notions.

I want you and every judge on the PEPT Panel to be aware that if any compromise occurs, I will hold my opinions.”
