Suspected Kidnapper Arrested By Police: Ransom Recovered
Operatives from the Nasarawa State Police Command have apprehended a suspected kidnapper and recovered part of a N5 million ransom.

In a statement on Sunday, October 27, 2024, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, revealed that the suspect, Abdulkarim Zakari from Konba, admitted to being part of the gang responsible for the kidnapping of Cironman Fulani in Nasarawa Eggon.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has initiated a manhunt for the other suspects who remain at large.
“The Nasarawa State Police Command, in its efforts to combat crime, has arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered the sum of N547,000, which is part of his share of the ransom collected for the kidnapping of Cironman Fulani in Arugbadu village, Nasarawa Eggon LGA,” the statement read.
On October 27, 2024, at approximately 11:30 AM, police operatives from the 38 PMF Akwanga, in collaboration with the Nasarawa Eggon Division, arrested Zakari in connection with an ongoing kidnapping investigation.
During questioning, he confessed to being part of the group that kidnapped Cironman Fulani at Arugbadu, where they collected a ransom of N5 million. He received a share of N1.2 million.
CP Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered a manhunt for the other fleeing members of the gang and commended the officers for their continued efforts against crime in the state.
