Tacha Makes History! Guinness World Records Recognizes Her For Two Makeup Feats

Nigerian reality TV star Anita Natacha, popularly known as Tacha, has officially set two new Guinness World Records for completing the most individual cosmetic makeovers within 24 hours.

The remarkable feat took place on October 11 in Lagos, where Tacha set up a makeup station behind a glass wall, allowing passersby to watch her in action.

In a post on Instagram on Wednesday, Tacha revealed that she completed 82 makeovers in the first eight hours and went on to finish 144 makeovers within the full 24-hour period, surpassing the previous record held by Mary Yongai of Sierra Leone.

Each participant received a complete makeover, including foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lip liner and gloss, eyebrow work, and finishing powder.

The record attempt faced significant challenges. A nine-hour storm disrupted the setup, damaging screens and branding, while power outages forced the team to rely on phone flashlights. Despite these hurdles, Tacha and her team pressed on, ensuring all makeovers were completed on schedule.

Guinness World Records later confirmed her achievement, awarding her two new titles and recognizing her for breaking the previous record.

Tacha described the moment as overwhelming, a mix of joy, relief, and pride, as she celebrated the success with her team. She dedicated the records to young girls, creatives, and dreamers, inspiring Nigerians and African women to pursue their ambitions and showcase their talents on the global stage.
