“Tears In The Palace: Alaafin Laments Loss Of Olubadan’s Noble Spirit”

Reacting to the demise of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, mournfully declared, “a good heart has ceased to beat.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, has mourned the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, describing him as a man with “a good heart that has stopped beating.”

In a condolence message delivered through his Director of Media and Publicity, ‘Bode Durojaiye, the Alaafin said the late monarch’s brief reign as the 43rd Olubadan was marked by vision, compassion, and service to the people.

Quoting religious reflections, the Alaafin stated:

“No human has been granted immortality. Every soul shall taste death. It is the law that governs all of life — a test of both good and bad.”

Oba Owoade urged Nigerians to reflect on life’s impermanence, saying,

“If God’s messenger could pass on, how can anyone else hope to live forever? Why do we not live with the awareness of our mortality?”

He praised Oba Olakulehin as a committed, large-hearted, and resilient monarch, who despite his noble qualities, could not escape death at the age of 90.

On behalf of himself and the people of Oyo, the Alaafin extended his deepest sympathies to the royal family and the entire people of Ibadanland, praying:

“May the soul of our dearly departed Royal Father rest in peace with our Heavenly Father, and may the bereaved find strength and comfort in the love that surrounds them.”BUSHRADIO REPORTS
