Teenager Accused Of Poisoning Five With Pepper Soup Speaks Out: ‘Here’s What Really Happened
A teenager, Aisha Suleiman, who was falsely accused of poisoning five people with pepper soup, has shared her harrowing experience.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In an interview with ITV Radio following her acquittal, Suleiman detailed the series of events that led to her near-lynching and subsequent arrest. She revealed that the ordeal began after she ended her relationship with her boyfriend, firmly denying ever preparing pepper soup for anyone.
Suleiman explained that her ex-boyfriend’s father had banned her from visiting their home, and on the day of the tragic incident, she was at a different location while the deaths occurred in Afashio.
The accusations stemmed from a viral social media post featuring her photo, claiming she had poisoned her boyfriend and four of his friends. This triggered an angry mob that publicly assaulted and tied her up. The mob doused her with petrol, preparing to set her on fire, but law enforcement arrived just in time to rescue her.
Following her arrest and court charges, human rights activists stepped in, demanding a thorough investigation. The investigation later confirmed that the victims died from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by generator fumes, not from pepper soup poisoning.
