Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has dismissed as baseless and malicious the reports claiming that he and four other governors are planning to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join a coalition led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. In a statement released on Sunday, Governor Idris reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the APC, stressing that he is not a “political prostitute” and would be the last person to abandon the party.
He reiterated his full commitment to the people of Kebbi State and to President Bola Tinubu’s vision, emphasizing that his priority remains delivering quality governance and building on the APC’s achievements.
Idris also underscored that Kebbi remains a stronghold of the APC and dismissed any insinuations of disloyalty within the state.
He assured the people of Kebbi of his dedication to their welfare and to the continuous development of the state under the APC banner.
“For clarity,” he stated, “I am not a political prostitute. I will be the last person to leave my trusted and reliable party for any coalition, regardless of who is behind it. If anyone tells you that Kaura is leaving the APC, tell them I will be the last man standing.”
