In a statement released by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations at the OHCSF, it was clarified that matters relating to the tenure and retirement of Permanent Secretaries are strictly governed by the Public Service Rules and must be approved by the appropriate authorities.
The Office reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to due process, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law in the management of civil service careers. Walson-Jack emphasized her dedication to merit-based leadership and accountability, urging the public to dismiss the false reports.
The statement further read:
“The OHCSF has observed misleading online reports alleging a plan by the Ministers of Defence and the Head of the Civil Service to extend the tenure of Mr. Aduda. We categorically deny such claims. Any action on tenure or retirement is guided strictly by existing regulations and must be duly approved. The public should disregard these baseless claims and avoid spreading misinformation that could erode confidence in the civil service system.”
