Local sources indicate the demonstration was sparked by a security raid targeting drug dealers in the area, which reportedly left one person severely injured.
A resident of the area described the incident, saying, “The security agents conducted a raid, and during the operation, there was a gunshot. It seems someone was shot.” The area, often referred to as a hotspot for drug-related activities, has reportedly attracted a steady stream of patrons.
“This place is notorious for all kinds of drugs, and many people come here,” the resident added.
In protest of the raid, demonstrators set tyres on fire, blocking the streets and creating a tense standoff with security forces.
