Terror Strikes Again: Gunmen Assassinate PDP LG Chairman In Bloody Benue Ambush

According to Daily Post, eyewitnesses revealed that the assailants arrived on motorbikes and specifically asked for Aondoakaa before executing him at close range.

Residents disclosed that this was not the first time Aondoakaa had been targeted. In a previous attempt on his life last year, his wife was tragically killed.

As of the time of this report, law enforcement authorities are yet to release an official statement, though investigations are said to be ongoing.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Taraba State, at least one person was injured and sixty-two houses were razed following an attack by suspected herdsmen on farming communities in Bali Local Government Area.

The violence reportedly stemmed from a dispute over access to a shared water source—a pond located between Tor Bali and Atongo villages. Tensions flared after a woman fetching water encountered a cow at the pond, leading to an alleged assault by the herders. The victim’s outcry sparked outrage in the community, escalating into a violent confrontation.

Chairman of Bali LGA, Aboki Dauda, confirmed the clash and said the situation is being closely monitored.
