Terror Strikes Kaduna: District Head’s Wife And Daughter Abducted In Daring Kidnap
The wife of the District Head of Aboro in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Shuaibu Suleiman Galadima, has reportedly been abducted.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
According to information obtained by Naija News on Monday, Harira Abdullahi and her daughter, Maryam Suleiman Galadima, were kidnapped by armed assailants.
Sources revealed that the incident occurred around 7:36 PM on Sunday, when the attackers stormed the district head’s residence and forcibly whisked away the two victims.
Speaking to Daily Trust, a resident — who preferred to remain anonymous — confirmed the development to journalists, saying the abduction sparked panic across the community as locals mobilized in an attempt to rescue the victims.
“However, as we chased them into the bush, the kidnappers opened fire. Tragically, one of us, Umar Abdullahi, was shot and killed, while another, Suleiman, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital,” the resident said.
He added that the deceased had been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
The source called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to secure the release of the district head’s wife and daughter and to bolster security in the area.
Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command for comments were unsuccessful, as the command’s spokesman, DSP Mansir Hassan, did not respond to inquiries as of press time.
Kidnappings for ransom remain a persistent security challenge in several parts of Kaduna State, particularly in rural communities.
