Gawat mentioned that Lagbaja, the Army Chief, praised the governor for the ongoing infrastructure development in the state and the significant support they have received from the State Government.
He further explained that the Army Chief’s visit to the state was to oversee the clearance of Unexplored Ordinance (UXO) at the site of the 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb explosion and other significant security activities.
Gawat captioned a video of the visit with the following statement: “Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Jide Sanwo-Olu, today received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja on a Courtesy Visit today at the Lagos House, Marina.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is in Lagos to supervise the clearance of the unexplored ordinance (UXO) at the site of the 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb explosion and other major security activities.
The COAS commends Governor #jidesanwoolu on various infrastructural developments ongoing in the State and the tremendous support they have received from the State Government. #GreaterLagosRising.”
