They Betrayed Me!’ – Jandor Blasts PDP Over Election Eve Treachery

The 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has expressed deep disappointment with the party’s leadership at the national level.

Jandor officially resigned from the PDP on Monday, along with his supporters across the state’s 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas.

Speaking on Politics Today on Channels TV on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Jandor revealed that, on the eve of the election, the Lagos State PDP chairman issued a press statement claiming that the party had withdrawn from the race due to a supposed alliance—an alliance that never actually took place.

“This wasn’t just fake news; it was deliberate sabotage,” he stated. “It wasn’t about me alone. The same thing happened to Obanikoro and Williams. This has been PDP’s pattern for years.”

Regarding his next political move, Jandor stated that he had not yet decided which party to join, emphasizing that he would consult with his supporters before making any decisions.
