Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spoken about the unwavering support he has received from his family during some of the most challenging periods of his life and career.

The award-winning singer revealed that his father, brothers and sisters have remained his strongest support system through public controversies, personal struggles and moments of profound grief.

Speaking during an interview with Vibe Q, Davido said his family members are always the first to reach out whenever he finds himself in difficult situations, offering encouragement and standing by him through every challenge.

Reflecting on the loss of his son, the singer disclosed that his family stayed by his side throughout the grieving process, helping him gradually recover emotionally.

According to Davido, their constant presence and understanding gave him the strength to move forward, adding that they appreciate every time they see him back on stage because they know the emotional pain he endured.

He also revealed that his relatives continue to check on his wellbeing regularly, even when he does not reach out to them.

“My family has been the only one helping me through scandals and problems. My brothers, my sisters and my father are always the first to call me whenever something bad happens. When I lost my child, they stayed with me until I was okay. They’re always happy seeing me perform because they know how broken I was after that loss. Even on days I don’t call them, they still call to check on me,” Davido said.
