Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi-Nze has shared insights into the challenges she and her husband, actor Stan Nze, faced on their journey to marriage.

She spoke about this in an interview with media personality Tope Olowoniyan, revealing that many people discouraged Stan from marrying her because she is older.

According to her, some critics even suggested that her age could affect their ability to have children, but Stan chose to ignore the negativity and proceeded with the marriage.

Blessing said she was deeply moved when her husband surprised her on Mother’s Day, describing it as a moment that made her reflect on their shared struggles and the strength of their relationship.

She recalled standing by him during his early career struggles and making sacrifices when he had little or nothing.

The actress stated that marrying Stan remains the best decision she has ever made. She also expressed gratitude that her husband acknowledges their past and the support she gave him during difficult times, adding that she would choose him repeatedly.

She said:

“Marrying my husband has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I remember people told him not to marry me because I was older, but he didn’t listen.

“They even said I might reach menopause without giving birth, yet he still chose me. Through it all, he remembers how I supported him when he had nothing and the sacrifices I made for him. I will choose my husband today, tomorrow, and forever.”
