Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt on Monday, Ehie denounced the alleged attempt by Policemen and armed thugs to assassinate him, emphasizing his commitment to standing by the state governor.

Ehie stated, “I stand with the state governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara. He was voted by the people of Rivers State to serve them. No matter the threat to me and my family, I will continue to stand by the governor.”

He further revealed that those who sponsored the Policemen attempting to forcibly enter his compound were aiming to falsely connect him to the murder of Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

SP Bako Angbashim. Ehie highlighted the threats and attempts to implicate him by planting arms and ammunition in his house in the village.

In light of these challenges, Ehie urged the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbotokun, to apprehend and prosecute the two senior Police officers accused of leading the attempted attack on his residence.
