In related news, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State recently shed light on the persistence of banditry and kidnapping in his state and Nigeria as a whole. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Governor Radda alleged that certain security personnel and government officials are complicit in exacerbating insecurity in the northern region, treating banditry as a profitable enterprise.

He highlighted the multifaceted nature of the problem, attributing its persistence to vested interests within various sectors of society. Governor Radda emphasized the need for concerted efforts to address the root causes of insecurity, refuting claims that political motives solely drive banditry.
