This was confirmed in a statement on Sunday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The President also instructed security agencies to urgently rescue all abducted victims from the assault.
The directives came in response to the recent killings of villagers in Niger State by terrorists reportedly fleeing Sokoto and Zamfara in the aftermath of the United States’ Christmas Eve airstrike.
President Tinubu strongly condemned the attack on Kasuwan Daji Community, as well as the abduction of women and children, extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Niger State.
“These terrorists have challenged the resolve of our nation and its citizens. They must face the full weight of the law. No matter their identity or intentions, they will be hunted down. Anyone who aids, abets, or shelters them will be caught and brought to justice,” the President declared.
He assured Niger State residents that security agencies have been instructed to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, especially those near forests that serve as hideouts for criminal elements.
President Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain united and resolute, warning against divisive rhetoric that could weaken national security and social cohesion during this critical period.
“These times demand our collective humanity. We must stand together and confront these criminals as one people. United, we can and must deny them sanctuary and reclaim peace and security for the affected communities,” he said.
