They take care of themselves first. Let us work together to build our nation, not only for us but for generations yet unborn.”

In a separate development, Ismaeel Ahmed, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), defended President Bola Tinubu against blame for the country’s current economic difficulties. Ahmed acknowledged the hardships faced by Nigerians due to rising living costs and commodity prices. He asserted that the tough decisions made by the present government were necessary for the nation’s economic rejuvenation.

Ahmed stated, “Hard decisions were taken. None of these decisions was not promised during the campaign, not only by President Bola Tinubu but by other candidates as well. We are in a situation where things have to realign. The President has taken hard decisions, it is discomforting, we are all feeling the pinch, but I won’t say the President is to be blamed for.”
