Popular activist Aisha Yesufu has extended congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding the state of the nation’s economy. However, her congratulatory message was laced with criticism as she accused the Nigerian leader of effectively plunging Nigerians into poverty.
Yesufu highlighted that under the current administration, the ability of people to afford basic necessities has significantly deteriorated. She remarked, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu is excelling in pushing people into poverty. Numerous individuals can no longer access fundamental needs in Nigeria.”
In a somewhat sarcastic tone, she applauded Tinubu, stating, “Congratulations Tinubu! You’re truly excelling!” Yesufu implied that Tinubu’s governance might serve as a catalyst for Nigerians to realize that the poverty affecting them collectively outweighs the tribal and religious divisions that often separate them.
