Tinubu Initiates Changes In NIMC Leadership And Directorate Of Technical Aid Corps

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has initiated significant changes in leadership roles by directing the commencement of a 90-day pre-retirement leave for Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, the Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

In addition, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General/CEO of the NIMC for a 90-day period.

Coker-Odusote’s acting role will commence on August 24, 2023, and following this interim period, she will assume the substantive position of NIMC Director-General/CEO for a full four-year term starting on November 24, 2023.

Furthermore, as part of the changes, President Tinubu has appointed Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the new Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).

This appointment follows the conclusion of the tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi. The appointment of Yakub takes immediate effect.

The strategic reorganization of leadership roles within the NIMC and the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps signals President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring efficient administration and effective service delivery in these vital sectors.
