The focal point of this year’s summit revolves around the theme, ‘Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality, and Relevant Learning in Africa.’
According to a statement from the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelali, the President will engage with other African leaders in high-level discussions covering institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security matters, and specific themes like climate change. Additionally, there will be deliberations on the modalities of participation and priorities of the continental body in the G20.
Ngelali further disclosed that on the sidelines of the summit, President Tinubu will also participate in an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body.
Accompanying President Tinubu on the trip will be several ministers and other high-ranking government officials. The President is expected to return to Abuja after the conclusion of the summit.
