Tinubu Poised To Deliver On His Promises To Nigerians – Wike Declares

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration prioritizes open communication and direct engagement with the people.

Wike made this statement during the commissioning of the dualised five-kilometer Kuje township road, stretching from Tipper Garage Junction to the LEA Secretariat in Kuje Area Council, Abuja.

Highlighting the administration’s focus on improving the lives of Nigerians, Wike explained that Tinubu’s government is not about political affiliations but about fulfilling promises made to the people.

He stated, “The President made a pre-election covenant with you, asking for your votes. Now that you have fulfilled your part, he is committed to fulfilling his part by providing essential infrastructure.”

Acknowledging that progress takes time, Wike assured residents, “We may not be where you want us to be yet, but with God’s help, we will get there. As my people say, ‘small, small, you will catch a monkey.’ Progress is being made.”

Expressing his joy over the enthusiasm shown by Kuje residents, Wike emphasized that the essence of governance is to bring happiness to the people. “If you are happy, we are happy. If you are not happy, we cannot be happy,” he remarked.

He further lauded the Tinubu administration for its people-centered approach, describing it as a government that listens to and addresses the needs of its citizens. Wike assured residents that the “Renewed Hope” agenda is a reality, pledging that with continued support, more developmental projects would come to Kuje.
