Tinubu Reshuffles Cabinet: Appoints Former Sports Minister Sunday Dare As Special AdviserPresident Bola Tinubu has appointed former Minister of Sports Sunday Dare as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Orientation. The statement highlighted that “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has approved the immediate implementation of eight significant actions to enhance the administration’s efficiency in fulfilling his commitments to Nigerians.”

Before this new role, Dare served as the Minister of Sports and Youth Development under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In response to his appointment, Dare expressed gratitude and confidence in serving the President. He shared on X: “I sincerely thank my Leader and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for once again placing his trust in me. I will always be proud to serve you and Nigeria again and again. Thank you, Mr. President.”

Earlier, the President announced the dismissal of five ministers, appointed seven new ministers, and reassigned ten others to different portfolios. Notably, Bianca Ojukwu was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Jumoke Oduwole became the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment. Other new appointments include Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi for the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha for the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, and Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.
