Anyaoku, representing The Patriots, urged the President to propose two key measures to the National Assembly: the formation of a national constituent assembly composed of directly elected representatives from all 36 states and the FCT, assisted by seven constitutional lawyers from various zones. He emphasized that the assembly’s work should reflect past constitutions and recommendations from previous national conferences.

Anyaoku also advocated for legislation to facilitate a national plebiscite for the proposed constitution. In response, President Tinubu expressed respect for The Patriots and their contributions, affirming his commitment to national unity and good governance.
