President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to present these positions at the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which begins today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Tinubu arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday, November 6, after receiving an invitation from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed that the president will address the rising violence in the Middle East, emphasizing Nigeria’s call for a prompt ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

At the summit, Nigeria will advocate for renewed diplomatic efforts to reinstate the two-state solution as a lasting and sustainable peace strategy for the region. The president is accompanied by a high-level Nigerian delegation, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.
