The president commended Wike for his exemplary performance in the FCT, highlighting that Wike has been an inspiration to many.

Tinubu expressed his satisfaction with Wike’s accomplishments, noting that many had doubted Wike’s suitability for the position.

“To the Hon. Minister of FCT and his entire team, my presence here is to say thank you very much for giving this government a very successful first-year landing,” Tinubu said. “You inspired so many people, and the acronym WIW—Wike is Working—is resonating with all of us.

“My heart is full of joy and pride because many thought you, Wike, would not perform. I heard that from several quarters. I made my choice. You didn’t let me or the country down. You worked day and night, creatively thinking and executing.

“The reform you recommended was accepted by me, and people are benefiting. You have proudly elevated individuals to permanent secretaries and civil servants. The jobs you are creating through these activities are extremely encouraging. During the flag-off of the coastal road in Lagos, I was proud. Today, I am proud once again
