MACBAN’s National President, Baba Othman-Ngelzarma, conveyed these sentiments in a congratulatory letter to President Tinubu on Friday.

In the letter, Ngelzarma hailed Tinubu’s first year as a demonstration of courage, conviction, and a vision for Nigeria’s prosperity. Despite facing challenges, Tinubu’s commitment to infrastructure development, agricultural advancement, and heightened security is seen as evidence of his capability to deliver democratic dividends to Nigerians.

The group particularly lauded Tinubu’s agricultural agenda aimed at achieving food security through significant investments in agronomy and livestock production. MACBAN expressed anticipation for Tinubu’s pledge to establish a livestock ministry to oversee the N15 trillion industry and its associated value chain, which is expected to generate numerous employment opportunities for Nigerian youth.

MACBAN also urged the prompt establishment and activation of the livestock implementation committee, as promised by Tinubu during a previous report presentation. Additionally, the group appealed for the autonomy of the National Commission for Nomadic Education to ensure the continued welfare of Nigerian nomads.

While acknowledging the efforts of security agencies in combating crime, MACBAN voiced concerns regarding the profiling and extortion of innocent pastoralists. The group emphasized the importance of translating Tinubu’s vision into tangible outcomes to instill confidence among ordinary Nigerians.

MACBAN pledged continued support for Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen institutional frameworks, positioning Nigeria as a beacon of innovation and productivity within Africa
