Tinubu’s Mandate: Wike Encourages FCT Residents To Voice Their NeedsMinister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, announced that President Bola Tinubu has instructed him to meet the requests of Abuja residents. He noted that the road was chosen for rehabilitation during a recent interactive town hall meeting between the FCT Administration and local area councils. Wike emphasized that the era of abandoned projects is over and affirmed the commitment of the FCTA to positively impact the FCT area councils.
“I told you that Mr. President has directed us to fulfill your requests. Today, by the grace of God, one of those important requests is the reconstruction of this road segment,” he stated.
“This is not the time for contracts to be awarded and then forgotten. This contract has been awarded, flagged off today, and will be commissioned next year.
“I want to stress that Mr. President did not appoint me and the Hon. Minister of State to oversee land sales. We are here to provide roads, water, and to ensure your happiness.
“This is what government is about—government for the people, government by the people.
