The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Robinson Ewor, has rejected claims of oil pipeline bombings in the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Ewor stated that President Bola Tinubu was misled into declaring a state of emergency in Rivers following false reports of bombings. In an interview with Arise News on Wednesday, Ewor clarified that what occurred in Gokana and Trans-Kalabari were simply oil leaks, which were promptly repaired by the responsible company.
He dismissed claims that militants had vandalized the pipelines in these areas, urging security agencies to provide evidence of such acts. Ewor emphasized that no bombings had taken place in Rivers State, refuting the allegations.
He said, “As of now, there has been no bombing in Rivers State. The reports about bombings in Gokana and Trans-Kalabari were false. What happened was a minor leakage, which was fixed by the company in charge of the pipeline. There was no bombing whatsoever. I challenge anyone to send officers to the site and verify this.”
Ewor further stated, “We have all security agencies in Rivers—police, army, navy, and the JTF. Let them visit the location and confirm that no bombing occurred. We live here and know what’s happening. I’m telling you authoritatively that no bombing has taken place in Rivers State.”
