Title May Belong to Another” – Guardiola Admits As Brighton Stuns Man City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has acknowledged that this season’s Premier League title may already be slipping away from his team.

City suffered their fourth straight defeat—a first in Guardiola’s managerial career—falling 2-1 to Brighton.

Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton fought back after Erling Haaland’s opener, with Joao Pedro equalizing and Matt O’Riley netting the winning goal on his Premier League debut.

Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa later in the day extended their lead at the top of the table to five points.

“Maybe after seven years and six Premier League titles, it’s time for another team to deserve it,” Guardiola remarked to reporters after the match.
