Expressing her concerns, Tiwa Savage urged the police commissioner to hold Davido accountable for any potential harm that may befall her. The singer suggested a connection between the incident and her association with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s ex-partner and the mother of his child, with whom he reportedly has a strained relationship.

In the petition, Tiwa Savage detailed a sequence of events, recounting a post she made on Instagram featuring herself and Sophia Momodu on December 23. Allegedly, Davido responded negatively, accusing her of taunting him and using disrespectful language. Tiwa Savage highlighted her past support for Davido during challenging times, including the loss of his son.

The situation escalated as mutual connections reached out to Tiwa Savage, expressing Davido’s displeasure over her relationship with Sophia Momodu. According to the petition, Davido allegedly warned her to “be careful in Lagos because he was going to f**k [her] up.” Tiwa Savage perceived this as a form of online and offline harassment, not only affecting her but also her team.

Terming Davido’s actions as unethical and a potential violation of her constitutional rights, Tiwa Savage cited Chapter 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) and Section 24(4) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) Act, 2015.

Concluding the petition, Tiwa Savage expressed her readiness to provide additional information and evidence. The singer emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating that the Nigerian Police Force should hold Davido responsible if any harm comes to her or her family.

This development follows closely on the heels of Tiwa Savage’s ex-husband, Tunji Balogun (TeeBillz), publicly addressing Davido’s alleged disrespect towards his family just 24 hours prior.
