Tiwa Savage Speaks Out: Why She Can’t Reveal Her Side Of The Story

During an appearance on the American podcast Air Service, the 45-year-old singer explained that her comment stemmed from frustration. She revealed that most of her suitors are either men in their 50s or already married, which led her to jokingly consider the idea of being a second wife.
“If I meet someone who can really marry me, they are either in their 50s or already married. So, I don’t know… maybe I could be a second wife,” she admitted.
However, Savage emphasized that her words were taken out of context. She clarified that she has no genuine interest in polygamy.
Reflecting on her past experiences with love, she noted that being the only wife to her ex-husband didn’t provide lasting happiness. “I was a first wife—where did that get me? I got married as the only wife, but here we are. I’m tired of being heartbroken; maybe I should try being a second wife,” she said.
The mother of one stressed that being a second wife is not her preference. “It’s not my choice. I don’t want to. I wish I could tell my truth, but I’d be dragged,” Savage concluded.
