It’s important to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not officially recognize the parallel market (black market).

The CBN has directed individuals interested in foreign exchange (Forex) transactions to approach their respective banks.

Current Dollar to Naira Black Market Rates:

• Buying Rate: N1135
• Selling Rate: N1140

CBN’s Dollar to Naira Rate Today:

• Buying Rate: 819
• Selling Rate: 820

Recently, the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) and the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) have indicated the possibility of increasing telecommunication tariffs.

This idea emerged during a stakeholders’ meeting. In a statement by ALTON Chairman Gbenga Adebayo, he emphasized the necessity of a price review to address the escalating operating costs faced by operators.

Additionally, Adebayo highlighted the challenge posed by 52 taxes imposed on operators nationwide during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
