The couple, who married in 2015, separated less than two years later amid allegations of infidelity, heated controversies, and battles over child custody.
In an emotional post on her Facebook page, Tonto credited the reunion to divine intervention, humility, and persistent prayers, emphasizing that what human efforts could not repair was restored through faith and obedience to God.
Describing the reconciliation as a divine restoration, she said peace has finally replaced chaos after years of conflict, bitterness, and broken communication. She noted that the renewed bond was grounded in humility, forgiveness, and their shared love for their child, offering hope to others facing similar challenges.
She wrote:
*”We are living proof that God’s Word is eternal and unfailing. He does not abandon what He begins. After ten long years of public battles, deep wounds, and broken communication, God stepped in. What seemed impossible, irreparable, and beyond hope has been touched by mercy. Peace has replaced chaos, and respect has returned where anger once lived. What human effort could not fix, God healed through salvation, humility, and sincere prayers.
This restoration is not by might, wisdom, or strength, but by the Spirit of the Lord. When God moves, the human mind cannot fathom the process. He softens hearts, silences the enemy, and rewrites stories that seemed finished. Every plan of darkness has failed; stubbornness has bowed, pride has melted, and love has found its voice again for my child.
I am grateful to the father of my child, Dr. Kunle, for yielding to God’s Word and choosing peace. Obedience to God always brings restoration, even when the journey is long and painful. To anyone standing where I once stood—tired, wounded, misunderstood, and doubting that good can come—know this: God has not abandoned you. Your story is not over. What He starts, He will perfect. Keep praying, keep choosing love, and trust God even when it hurts.
May this renewed relationship stand firm on the foundation of God’s mercy, protection, and grace, serving as living proof that God never fails, never forgets, and never walks away from His own. If He did it for us, He can do it for you. To my spiritual father, Papa, thank you for shaping a God-fearing, impact-making woman out of a total mess.”*
