Kuti argued that many African men carry what he described as a toxic attitude toward power, often believing they must assert dominance whenever they feel slighted. He criticized the tendency to respond to conflicts with intimidation or violence as a way of proving strength.

He emphasized that such behaviour does not resolve issues, but instead reflects a flawed mindset, urging people to reconsider how they handle disagreements.

According to him, a lack of mutual respect among individuals contributes to the normalization of violence, which he believes is damaging to society.

Kuti further noted that resorting to force does not equate to true power, stressing the need for better ways of resolving conflicts.

He added that the constant cycle of disrespect and aggression among people continues to negatively impact the collective mindset, and called for a shift toward more positive and constructive approaches to handling disputes.
