Tragedy Hits Nollywood Again As Actor Cjay Passes Away

Nollywood actor Chijioke Temidayo Nwokafor, popularly known as Cjay, has died, with actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday confirming the news on Wednesday.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Nkechi Blessing made the announcement in an emotional Instagram post, where she shared a video from the hospital and revealed that Cjay had been confirmed dead.

The actress, who appeared visibly distressed in the video, did not disclose the circumstances surrounding the actor’s death. She expressed her grief over the loss and revealed that the tragedy had also affected plans for an upcoming movie.

Cjay, an indigene of Awka in Anambra State who was based in Lagos, began his professional acting career in 2021. During his time in the Nigerian film industry, he featured in productions including Larry Cold and Mum Overnight.

His death has reportedly left colleagues and fans mourning the loss of an actor whose career was still developing in Nollywood.
