Two people have been confirmed d**d, and two others rescued alive after a two-storey building collapsed in the Nomansland area of Fagge Local Government, Kano State.
The collapse occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, during a heavy downpour.
Reports suggest that the building, situated near a waterway, was impacted by the overflow, leading to its collapse.
Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer for the Kano State Fire Service, confirmed the incident. He stated that two individuals had been rescued and taken to the hospital, while two others were found dead, with rescue efforts still ongoing.
