Tragic Accident At UNILORIN Campus Takes Student’s Life, Injures Several

According to reports gathered by PUNCH Metro, the incident occurred as a single accident involving passengers of the campus shuttle. A 23-second video obtained by our correspondent shows a white minibus (locally known as Korope) overturned, with a female passenger lying injured on the ground. Good Samaritans were seen assisting in the rescue of students trapped inside the vehicle.

Confirming the tragic event, Kwara Police Command spokesperson Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi stated that the bus driver was transporting students out of the school premises when he apparently lost control at the exit lane near the school gate, causing the vehicle to somersault.

“Ejire-Adeyemi lamented, “Unfortunately, one student lost her life, and other passengers sustained different injuries but they are presently receiving treatment in the university hospital.
