Tragic Boat Accident In Kano Claims Lives Of Two Students....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Two students from Audu Bako College Of Agriculture near Danbatta are feared to have lost their lives following a tragic incident where the canoe they were traveling in capsized in Thomas Dam, situated in Makoda Local Government Area of Kano State.

Reported by Daily Trust, Abubakar Salisu, one of the students, was fortunate enough to be rescued, while efforts to locate the other student continued.

Sani Muhammadu, the information officer of Makoda LGA, disclosed that the incident occurred on the morning of April 30, 2024, as the students were returning to the college.

Tragically, the body of one student, Abubakar Sanusi, was found during the rescue operation. However, Ado Salisu remained missing at the time operations were suspended, with plans to resume the search the following morning.

Hassan Haruna, the canoe driver, was reported to have survived the accident.

Abba Muhammad, a resident of Danbatta, supported the information officer’s statements, mentioning that the rescued student was receiving medical attention at Danbatta General Hospital.

The dam, where this unfortunate incident occurred, is approximately five kilometers away from the school.

In another account, a post by Aliyu Hamisu Dambatta confirmed the heartbreaking loss of two students in the boat mishap.
