Musa Dantani, a local resident, shared that after having Sahur, the pre-dawn meal during Ramadan, Byzehe completed his ablutions and headed to the mosque for prayers.
While praying, he suddenly collapsed, prompting quick action from those around him, who rushed him to a hospital in Kuje. Sadly, he was declared dead upon arrival, with medical professionals attributing his death to high blood pressure.
“During prayers, he suddenly slumped, and some Muslims at the mosque quickly assisted and took him to the hospital. He was still breathing during the trip, but unfortunately, he passed away upon arrival,” Dantani told Daily Trust.
One of Byzehe’s sons was present at the mosque when the incident occurred and accompanied his father to the hospital, where the attending doctor confirmed the death.
It was reported that Byzehe had high blood pressure, which worsened during the morning prayers.
Dantani noted that the burial took place at around 10:12 am on Thursday, following Islamic rites.
