The victims, unfortunately, were trapped beneath the vehicle and succumbed to their injuries. In addition to the human casualties, approximately 45 cows also perished in the accident, according to sources cited by Punch.

Timothy Garuba, a local resident, recounted that the tragedy unfolded as the truck was ascending the flyover bridge within the Gada Biu/Kabong community during the early hours of Tuesday. Garuba explained, “A truck driver lost control on the Kabong fly-over bridge in Jos North Local Government Area early this morning. The truck was carrying cows and passengers around 4:30 am when it fell off the bridge with passengers and some cows trapped under it. I can count 45 cows that are littered on the ground dead. Some passengers are trapped under the vehicle as well.”

The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Peter Langsan, verified the casualty figures, stating that both the deceased and the injured victims had been successfully evacuated to the hospital.
