Trump Shows More Concern For Nigeria Than Our Leaders – Timi Frank Blasts

Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, has commended U.S. President Donald Trump for labeling Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC).

Trump had on Friday placed Nigeria on the CPC list, citing what he described as widespread attacks on Christians in the country.

In a statement on Saturday, Frank said the move demonstrates that Trump shows more concern for Nigerians than President Bola Tinubu and other local leaders.

He described the U.S. action as bold and long overdue, noting that it signals international recognition of the Nigerian government’s failure to address rising atrocities and systemic corruption.

Frank also called for targeted sanctions against corrupt officials responsible for fueling insecurity and impunity.

“We commend President Trump for this decisive action; it is long overdue,” he said.
“Through this, Trump has shown greater concern for the welfare and safety of ordinary Nigerians than those elected to govern them.

“We urge the United States to ensure that any measures protect innocent citizens from the impact of sanctions, focusing only on those directly responsible for these atrocities, while safeguarding Christians and non-Christians alike,” he added.
