Trump TV Emerges As White House Launches New Platform After CNN Ban

The White House has launched a 24-hour digital streaming channel dedicated to President Donald Trump and his administration, providing viewers with direct access to presidential speeches, official announcements, major events and selected footage from the administration.

The new platform, known as “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station,” went live on Monday through the White House’s official digital platforms and YouTube. The White House said the service would feature important past moments, administration announcements and the latest developments involving Trump and his team.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the channel is designed to operate continuously, with its content updated as new presidential events and official remarks take place. Archived videos and previous appearances by Trump and other administration officials will also remain available to viewers.

The launch comes amid an escalating dispute between the Trump administration and several major American media organisations. President Trump announced on September 18 that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be barred from the White House, accusing the outlets of publishing what he described as false reports. The three organisations have challenged the restrictions in federal court.

The dispute also affected the traditional television pool responsible for providing shared coverage of presidential events. After CNN was prevented from carrying out a scheduled pool assignment, ABC, CBS, Fox News and NBC joined CNN in suspending pooled television coverage of Trump’s presidential events.

The new streaming service therefore provides the White House with a direct platform for distributing presidential remarks and administration content without depending entirely on traditional television networks for transmission.

The White House’s official video library now prominently features “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station” alongside other presidential and administration videos, confirming the service’s launch on September 21, 2026.

The development marks another significant stage in the ongoing dispute between the Trump administration and sections of the US media over White House access, coverage and the distribution of presidential events.
