Taking to Twitter to voice his concerns, the political critic questioned the justification for the presidency to maintain a fleet of 11 presidential jets during such an economic crisis. Oseni argued that even wealthier nations do not indulge in such unnecessary expenditures.

He wrote, “An already asphyxiating economy reeling under the crushing impact of hyperinflation, unemployment, mass hunger, and poverty foisted by the gross ineptitude and incompetence that characterized the watch of eight years is looking like an episode drawn straight out of Dante’s Hell.”

Oseni lamented that such actions by the ruling party are suffocating the aspirations of the citizens and likened the situation to the words of George Floyd, who famously said, “I can’t breathe.” The TV host concluded by questioning how people are expected to live with no respite from the economic burdens they face.
